WHO ARE THEY?

International musicians, dancers and educators, Dakhóta Romero “La Mujer de Tu Vida” and Edwin Ferreras “El Maestro de Maestros” travel the world teaching and performing Bachata, Bolero, Son, Merengue and Dembow. They are widely popular for their innovative methods of instruction including musicality, history, cultural idioms, connection and social dance etiquette, all the while encouraging their students to express themselves in their own unique way.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:

Bachata Footwork & Musicality with Live Instruments: This masterclass is pattern based and offers ideas for some of the most popular and versatile footwork and syncopated steps found in bachata culture, as well as fun variations for each of the 4 syncopations. Includes a guided practice on interpretation of the three rhythms found in Bachata (derecho, majao, mambo). Towards the end the students also learn to breakout of the pattern and create their own ideas in a fun cypher. (Intermediate to Advanced)

Experiencia Dominicana: Features most popular Dominican Rhythms—Bachata, Salsa/Son Dominicano, Bolero, Merengue, as well as a taste of the fast-paced music of the younger generation; Dembow. (Open Level)
